Wendy has lived on the Eastern Shore for nearly 20 years and has spent the past five years supporting families and individuals who are struggling with substance use disorder. She is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and has worked with the Maryland Coalition of Families. Wendy currently serves as a Behavioral Health Specialist with Parents’ Place of Maryland, where she helps families navigate resources, build resilience, and find support during challenging times.

Wendy graduated from Frostburg State University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health. She is deeply passionate about wellness and recovery and is dedicated to spreading hope, educating others, and helping people discover the joy of living a life in recovery.

In her free time, Wendy enjoys the beach life on the Eastern Shore with her husband, her three sons, and their six feline companions.
